Baggsy vs the 2017 DHB Show

Jun 062017

Now celebrating its 20th anniversary as Denmark’s Valhalla of tuning culture, the DHB Show is one you don’t want to miss. Touching down in Padborg Park as the Danish summer is beginning to amp up, the annual celebration of all things automotive in the very south of country lays on a feast of drifting, showcars, bikes and a whole host of tweaked metal not normally seen in the open air.

Naturally, once the competition schedule was announced as part of the event, resident European tyre slayer Steve Baggsy Biagioni had to get a slice of the action. So not long after landing back home from his podium at the season opening round of the European Drift Championship, Baggsy loaded up his epic PS13V6, and zeroed in on Padborg.

Qualifying fifth straight out of the box, Baggsy faced off against a line up of big block muscle in the opening two battles – namely Martin Hjermitslev’s Dodge Viper powered R34 Nissan Skyline, and a thundering battleship grey Corvette driven by Denmark’s very own Mr Grey.

Next up came the top-four battles; featuring a showdown of screaming Japanese power; with Baggsy going wheel-to-wheel with a Nissan 200SX S13 driven by Mikkel Overgaard. Unfortunately electrical issues cut the tyre slaying power to Baggsy’s PS13V6 mid-battle; meaning his first and only loss of the competiton. Working overtime in the pits, Baggsy’s engineers adjusted the engine coilpacks in his PS13V6 just in time to meet Mads Andreasen in his BMW E30 in the 3rd place playoffs.

“I’ve had an awesome weekend here at the DHB show in Denmark, and it’s even better to be going home with a podium.

“We had to work hard for it though, as the local drivers here are pretty serious, with a few international drivers in the mix also. We had a few problems with our new #PS13V6 but nothing my team couldn't handle. The atmosphere here has been amazing, everyone partying hard and loving motorsport. We can’t wait to come back next year!”
