Festival co-founder Adam Lynn said the Breakaway team is eager to return to Columbus and deliver the much-needed live experiences their fans love and need this season. “We’re so grateful that live music is back and it’s incredibly rewarding to bring Breakaway back to our Ohio fans in 2021,” said Lynn, who was named one of Billboard’s Dance Power Players in 2018 and 2019. “It’s been an incredibly challenging period in our industry, and being a part of the resurgence means the world to us. We can’t wait to take Columbus by storm when we return to Crew Stadium.”

September’s event is the first of three domestic Breakaway festivals in 2021, including Breakaway Ohio in Columbus September 3-4 and Breakaway Carolina in Charlotte October 1-2. Any tickets from 2020’s canceled festival in Grand Rapids, Columbus or Charlotte will automatically carry over and be valid for 2021’s festivities.
