Charles Reid remains undefeated in Boarderstyle!

Mar 132017

Charles Reid has never lost a Boarderstyle heat, semi or main.  After the fastest qualifying time, he again went on to clean up at the 2017 Silverstar Nationals.

“"It was really gnarly out there, it was hard to see but I passed him at the end.  Woooo!  I'm stoked!" - Charles Reid.”

It looked like it was going to be a tough one this time as Reid's Monster Energy teammate, Dustin Craven qualified 5th overall and it seemed like they were destined to face off in the finals.  Craven took his first heat handily, but it was not to be as he went down in the semi after some contact with local boy Rhett Haubrich.  Craven, knowing his day was done, proceeded to pull out one of his patented methods over the big jump at the bottom which required a mandatory spin to be scored.

Reid continued his dominance and landed himself on the top step of the podium with another novelty cheque and a cool $5K for 1st place.

In the women's division, it was Jacqueline Atteridge taking the cake from local CJ Derpak, who was favored to win, but was unable to stomp her final jump, thus thrusting Atteridge into first.

The tour moves to Fernie, BC next weekend.
