New shores, same old business. The old dogs, and a whole pack of new, embarked on a secret road show that stopped into the best cities on the skate super highway through Europe. What could go wrong with 150 skaters, the Monster tour bus, unlimited champagne and the rowdiest in the business…?

Quite a lot, it turns out….

COPENHAGEN “That city……it’s just magic!”

The classic spots, minus the festival crowds that CPH Open has assembled in recent years. The usual suspects led the charge in delivering golden tricks to the very limited invited media to attend these secret sessions. Sam Beckett put on a bowl shredding crusade at the DIY spot in Hullet Park, Kevin Baekkel shut down the insane 40 stair handrail in the Christiania District, before turning it up at the 20 year anniversary of the infamous Alice Wonderland Bowl and Ishod Wair delivered endless spice as he cleaned up the Cash For Tricks. Too many stories to tell… you’ll have to ask around for the story from the boat ride…

AMSTERDAM “Damn, just damn”

Gathering the already busted and bruised and hauling them through Northern Germany into Holland, kicked off the second part of the rolling road trip. A couple of little street sessions were lined up and a hectic Death Race at the Noord Park ended things nicely, before the typical Dutch weather put a stop to any more days of skate. A welcome break before the storm…

BERLIN “Who stole my boat?”

The main party, the wild ride. The seasoned vets from the tour were given a new lease of life by the energy that greeted them when they landed at the first event on the CPH X BER mega session. Skate Halle was the first for the official AM event on the first day, where fiery young guns sweated it out in the freshly designed park to win a coveted spot with the big boys. The organisers left the secret side missions to be announced at the very last minute, which turned the whole city of Berlin into a wild goose chase to see who could converge on the spots the quickest and snag the spot to watch the best in the world skate. From surprise indoor disco vibes with giant heart-shaped glasses, to last minute finals at the Dog Shit spot, the gifts just kept on giving. CPH X AMS X BER was nothing we expected and everything we did.
