They’ve been quiet for some time now but our hip-hop heroes are heading out on tour. De La Soul will be promoting their 9th studio album And the Anonymous Nobody… with a fairly extensive run of UK tour dates, as well as a handful of other interesting locations including Sónar International Festival in Reykjavik, Iceland and Barcelona, Spain, Snowbombing Festival in Austria and a quick stop in Thailand for Paradise Island Festival.
In March 2015, De La Soul created a Kickstarter campaign to help fund And the Anonymous Nobody…, which surpassed the original goal of $110,000 in under ten hours. After a belated August 2016 release, De La Soul commented "We’re just so happy to get you guys this music, finally.” And the Anonymous Nobody... was the first De La Soul album to debut at number one on the Billboard Top Rap Albums. The album was also streamed 2 million times in the first week and was recently nominated for Best Rap Album at the 59th Grammy Awards.
