5 popular Tricks of Freestyle Motocross
1. Switchblade - This trick is an extension of the No Foot Can-Can, while in the position the rider kicks out his legs resembling a switchblade, hence the name. The Switchblade is credited to Mike Metzger, who started doing the trick in the late 1990s.
During this extreme trick, the rider leaves his bike, and stands straight up to catch the underside of the handlebars with his feet. The rider will raise his hands above his head and try to lift his body as far as possible from the bike.
3. Dead Body
While performing the Dead Body trick, the rider has to take his feet off the pegs while extending his legs up over the handlebars. The goal of the rider is to have his body completely horizontal with the bike.
Similar to a Backflip, the 360 requires the rider to pull back on the handlebars and look over his left shoulder, but his head is in a different position than it would be in a Backflip. The rider will do a 360° spin.
5. Heart Attack
Named after the iconic Carey Hart, who was the first rider to ever perform the stunt, the trick requires the rider to pinpoint both of his legs straight up in the air with one hand on the bars and one hand on the seat.
