Michael Dunlop absolutely smashed the current lap record last weekend at the North West 200 to go on and win the opening superbike race.
Dunlop, after being second behind Alistair Seeley in Qualis was back in sixth on the first lap, came through into second place on the second behind Ian Hutchison and smashed the lap record on lap three with a 123.207mph taking over Josh Brookes!
Ian Hutchinson also had a great weekend going on to win his first race at the North West 200 since 2010 in the Superstock race. Hutchinson saw the gap and took full advantage when Alastair Seeley ran wide on a nail biting final lap, storming into the lead by six tenths of a second.
“That`s made my day and hopefully the team`s day. It was obviously going to be fast today with the good conditions all week," Hutchinson said.
With a great race behind the Monster Energy riders we are gearing up for the Isle of Man TT on the 3rd of June. For all updates follow us at @MonsterEnergyUK.
