Nov 152016

Filip Neugebauer interview

Hi Filip, since our last interview, you took part in some very prestigious races. One of them was the MXoN, where you represented the Czech Republic. How are you satisfied with the result?

Hi, I am quite satisfied with the result, considering the fact that we haven’t managed to get in the elite top 20 in few previous years, this year’s 16th place is a good one.

People say that the track is quite difficult and you competed in MX2 class. Did everything go as planned or did you have any problems? What was the overall atmosphere at the race?

The MXoN track is always difficult, but I enjoyed it. The only thing I didn’t like was having quite a handicap on the heavily rugged track on 250 compared to 450 riders. Otherwise, the whole atmosphere of the race was incredible and thousands of fans around the world have obviously enjoyed the whole weekend.

Next MXoN should take place in Matterley Basin, UK, the place where you first started, you looking forward to?

Yes, Matterley Basin is a great track and I have good memories of this race. But this time I hope I will be in a class of 450 or MXGP open.

You also took place in first year of the SMX riders cup as a Kawasaki team member. Can you tell the fans what is going on at this race?

It was a first year of the so-called companies championship, where each motorcycle manufacturer creates its best possible team and the race takes place in the arena on a track that looks like something between supercross and motocross.

Team Kawasaki finished on perfect third place, you had the opportunity to race with many MX stars. How did you feel about the whole event?

I am very happy that I had the chance to compete in Kawasaki team and help to the podium place. It was a great experience to race and stand on the podium with the world’s best riders.

Last, but not least of your races was the Supercross King of Poland. Did it go well? What events are still before you?

Unfortunatelly, I finished tightly behind the podium positions in Poland due to problems with my bike, however I think that the first year of this event. went really well. I am planning to take part in Adac SX Cup series, where is very strong competition, so I hope I will do well in the company of many US supercross riders.
