Sun, sea and shredded tires. Not a bad way to spend a few days in Barcelona, right? The Monster Energy RX Cartel rolled into the legendary Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya last weekend to go wheel to wheel at round two of the 2019 FIA World Rallycross Championship.
In the wake of a turbulent season opener, Andreas Bakkerud bounced back to finish third - also recording his third podium in three years at the Spanish circuit. Liam Doran just missed out on a slot in the event ending race, finishing fourth in semi final two, but still managing to pick up ten vital championship points from the weekend.
If that wasn’t enough, Steve “Baggsy” Biagioni and Luke Woodham seriously brought the noise in their V8 powered beasts with on track demos, while Paul Hewitt and Black L’Amour Barbers made a guest appearance in the paddock - keeping the team’s cuts on point. A new format Monster Energy Rig Riot, complete with RX Cartel merchandise, also kept the crowds buzzing in between the racing.
