Each year, for one entire weekend Vienna turns into Freestyle heaven. 60 of the best athletes from Freestyle Motocross, Slopestyle Mountainbike and BMX from all over the world come together to deliver insane performances. The glorious mix of Freestyle, perfect beats provided by MoDs DJ Mosaken plus incredible Pyro- and LED-Special Effects makes Masters of Dirt one unique experience.
Sure thing, that Monster Energy´s very own heroes Adolf Silva, Edgar Torronteras and Alex Nikulin were part of the spectacle. Adolf Silva even got his own Show Element within the “Monster Moment”. The super-talent drove the crowd to the edges of their seats delivering a stunning triple backflip.
“The atmosphere is absolutely unique. That gets you super stoked and you only want to show your best and craziest tricks.” said the youngster from Spain. Talking about crazy: as a special treat for the audience, he hung onto the back of a beach-buggy during a stunt – see it in the pictures below.
Masters of Dirt would not be the same without Freestyle Motocross legend Edgar Torronteras. His style with whips and backflips is impressive and unforgettable.
“After all these years, it´s still something special to come to Vienna. The organisers always create new crazy impressive show elements. It´s awesome!”
BMX stunts in perfection is the specialty of Alex Nikulin. The young gun from Russia is showing a huge variety of tricks and severity: he does Double Backflips and Frontflip-Kombos like no other.
“Apart from the contests it´s always huge fun to do the Masters of Dirt Shows. It´s like a family and we love tu push each other, to deliver the very best tricks.” Says Alex about the flair at Masters of Dirt.
A new addition to the show was the Austrian band Crispies which brought the audience back to speed after the intermission with one hell of a live performance.
Like years before and hopefully many years to come the Vienna edition of Masters of Dirt was one true highlight of the Freestyle season.
