
The Polish martial arts fighter, that has been tied with UFC since 2015, has joined the Monster Energy family.
Karolina Kowalkiewicz is a KSW champion in up to 52 kg category from 2013. In 2015 she transferred to UFC and won amongst Canadian Randa Markos in her debut fight. Her record is 12-3-0 and on March 30th she will fight Michelle Waterson in the octagon in one of the main fights of the Philadelphia UFC event.
Karolina started her professional career in Łódź. In 2012 she made her debut in professional MMA during the Extreme Fighting Sports 2 event by winning over Marzena Wojas in the first round. The same year she signed a contract to take part in the first female MMA tournament in Poland, which she won. In the next two years she was defending the title of the international KSW champion in strawweight class.
Since 2015 she has been fighting in the UFC organization. Out of 15 fights she won 12. In 2016 she took part in a historical event at Madison Square Garden, where fighters from Europe were fighting for the title. Kowalkiewicz was in the ring with Joanna Jędrzejczyk. In 2017 one of the best world MMA fighters in her class together with her team, Shark Top Team, opened a martial arts club in Łódź.
