KEYAKI IKE - RETURN OF KINETICS

Jun 092018

Japanese Skateboarder Keyaki Ike has dropped a brand new part for 2018.

Keyaki is known as a competition rider, he was a semi-finalist in both TAMPA AM 2017 and COWTOWN’S PHXAM 2018 and took 7th place in DAMN AM JAPAN. He also took the win at the JRSF Japan National Competition recently.

For the past 6 months, this 17 years old Japanese kid has not stopped, traveling back and forth between home and overseas for filming and contests. This piece of footage displays all of the hard work and long hours he has put in to get to where he is.

Since Keyaki’s last part in “ALMOST DAWN”, he has taken his skateboarding to another level so expect some big tricks to come at you as he smashes tricks out in 2-3 tries, whether it's the stairs or some seriously long handrails.

Keyaki will not claim a sketchy landing but try and try again until he gets the tricks dialed, leaving the camera crew pretty damn impressed with his determination and relentless drive for perfection, nailing the 14 stair hand rail with B/S lip slide 2 times in row. Just before snapping his board on a big spin at 12 stair, he landed a B/S lip slide at 11 stair hand rail and a B/S nose blunt combo at the same spot. Our camera crew said “Hell yeah” and Keyaki said “easy”! (Japanese normally cannot say that word in the public.)

The title called “RETURN OF KINETICS” comes from the sound track meaning “Keyaki is back with speed and power”. Hope you enjoy!
