The third KSW gala of this year is behind us. KSW 49 visited Gdańsk, where fans filled the ERGO Arena to watch exciting fights.
The first one was between Leszek Krakowski and Michael Dubois, which was his debut. Krakowski won. Next, another debutant, Luis Henrique faced Michał Andryszak, a former heavyweight champion pretender. The Brazilian defeated the Pole after choking him.
After that we saw a rematch between Antun Račić and Paweł Polityło. Unfortunately, the Pole lost again. The fourth fight was between Martin Zawada and Thiago Silva. The Brazilian was wobbling after a few shots, endured to the end, but finally lost.
The fastest fight of the evening was between Akop Szostak and Erko Jun. It was planned for 3 rounds, but finished just after it started with Jun's victory.
Next on the octagon we saw Norman Parke, a former lightweight pretender and Artur Sowiński, former featherweight champion. After 15 minutes the fighter from Northeren Island won.
The third fight in the heavyweight category was between former champion, Karol Bedorf and debuting in KSW, Damian Grabowski. Bedorf was for most of the time controlling the situation, but Grabowski finally crashed him.
Norman Ashkam TKO'd Michał Materla in a rematch, which was the second main fight of the evening and a fight for the middleweight title. Ashkam became the new KSW champion.
In the main fight for the middleweight title Robert Soldić faced Krystian Kaszubowski. Soldić quickly hit the pole, who fell on the mat, and defended the title.
The next KSW gala will take place on September 14th for the third time in London.
