Monster Energy Racer Kyle LeDuc took his third straight Pro-4 championship in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. The dirt tracks in the Lucas Oil Series feature punishing whoops, technical turns, and two story jumps. In those most challenging conditions, LeDuc has vanquished a long list of the toughest racers on four wheels in his 950 horsepower, all-wheel drive, Monster Energy Ford. .
After back to back Pro-4 championships in 2014 and 2015, the odds were against him winning a third straight title. When he failed to even reach the podium in the first 5 of 15 rounds in 2016, it seemed impossible. In round 6, the fire was re-lit and he was back on the podium with a win. From that point on, LeDuc was on the podium for every round; 8 of them wins.
Points are awarded for finishing position, fastest qualifier, and leading at the halfway point of each race. In order to climb back to the top, LeDuc would have to take every point he could. Track conditions, mechanical failures, stiff competition, they would all have to be overcome. Round after round, he ran hard up front and put the points in his pocket. Incredibly, the championship came down to the final round of the season. In the last turn, on the last lap, LeDuc made a pass for the lead. He took every point left on the table, winning the race and a fourth championship, his third straight for Monster Energy.
