MX OPEN – huge competition
Marek Sukup (HT Group Racing Team) was already celebrating the title at the previous race in Velké uherce, because it was clear that no one could score more points than him. However he confirmed his domination also in the last race where he was from beginning in the lead. In the second run, he however suddenly dropped out and ended up 8th. Filip Neugebauer (Osička MX team) won the last race followed by second Petr Smitka and third Petr Michalec (DUE route team).
MX2 –Richard Šykiňa showed up at the start and performed some world class rides
Last year’s Slovak MX2 champion Richard Šykiňa (MX Slovakia) spent most of this season in MXGP so he didn’t have much time for the Slovak events, however he came to the final in Šenkvice and he won both runs. Second place went to Jakub Terešák (Motosport Klub Málkov v AČR) and third to František Smola, who became the overall winner and apart from the MX2 title he also became father that week. Congratulations!
MX2 Junior – Jozef Posluch defended the champion title
Before the last race in Šenkvice, it was the MX2 Junior category that promised the biggest battles for the title. Samuel Lusk felt it was his chance. He won the first run, however in the second run, he was beaten by Jozef Posluch, who had a 33 point lead from the previous races and therefore won the title. Third place in both runs went to Jiří Matějec (Team Max 2).
MX Junior 125 – Martin Venhoda sovereign first again
Martin Venhoda (motokrosovaskola.cz) did not leave anyone in doubt that the title of Slovakian champion is in the right place. He was already celebrating at the previous race in Velké Uherce, however he managed to win the last race as well and confirmed his title. Second place went to Radek Větrovský and third to Jiří Hendrych.
Zoltán Vörös (MX4) and Peter Pipich became (MX4+) Veteran Slovakian champions
Zoltán Vörös became veteran champion in the 40-50 years category (MX4) thanks to two perfect runs that made him step up the ladder from third to first place. Peter Pipich (motoklubu Medzibrod) was second in Šenkvice, however he had still enough points in the overall ranking and earned a title in the 50+ years category (MX4+). Czech rider Roman Majer won the last race in the same category.
