
Lewis Hamilton topped off a sensational record-breaking season with his 11th victory of the year at F1’s season closer in Abu Dhabi last weekend.
The 34 year old, who sealed his sixth Formula One world crown two races before the end of the season in record breaking style, celebrated the win at Las Marina by pulling donuts on the finish line; after crossing it almost 17 seconds ahead of second placed Max Verstappen.
It was a fitting end to the season for Lewis, as he started from pole at Yes Marina, led every lap, and set the fastest lap in truly commanding style.The win in Abu Dhabi was remarkably also his 151st podium and the 84th victory of his F1 career to date. "What an incredible year it has been," said Lewis, who won 413 points over the 2019 season; his best ever haul.
