Manon Carpenter bags a first at BDS Round 4

Moelfre Wales was the setting for the 4th round of the British Downhill Series and would see some of the best racers in the UK battle it out in what has become a leading national series, with international riders taking to the hill in between the UCI World Cup.

Following on from Leogang Austria, Manon Carpenter headed back home to compete on national soil. With the weather drying out the track to the dusty conditions usually seen on the continent, the rain soon came in great Welsh tradition changing the track completely come race runs. None of this would faze Carpenter however who took the track in her stride and pushed on to win the day with a clear lead of 11 seconds.

The next stop of the BDS presented by Shimano will see the riders head to the ever popular Revolution Bike in Wales where Manon will try to lay claim to the overall title for 2016 and extend her current lead of 130 points.
