The British Downhill Series returned to wales for it’s second stint this year and Manon Carpenter was on top form racing through into first place with an incredible lead of twenty – two seconds.
Hosted by Revoluton Bike park, the track had been newly modified. With an overall length of 1.6km, the riders had 3 minutes of insanely technical riding, through drops, berms, table tops and jumps. In typical British fashion the heavens opened just before the race weekend leaving the track muddy and slippery.
This did not stop Carpenter though. Attacking the course, Carpenter came storming through with a lead of twenty two seconds ahead of Lucy Drees in second and Becci Skelton in third.
