Manon Carpenter takes the win at the season opener of the British Downhill Series at Ae Forest. Arriving on Friday the riders were greeted with copious amounts of mud, 50mph winds and heavy rain. However this did not stop some spectacular riding go down. This year brought a few changes to the track from 2015. With an off camber mudslide or ‘the cattle field’, and some super smooth jumps and the infamous stump gap, this years course coupled with the slippery conditions sent some of the top riders in all directions. Despite the challenging course and weather conditions, Manon Carpenter stormed into first place with a very convincing lead of 6.7 seconds ahead of Tahnee Seagrave. We are no doubt going to be seeing some impressive riding from Manon this season!
