MARK CAVENDISH TEAMS UP WITH HYDROSPORT TO LAUNCH THE CAV SESSIONS

Tour de France hero Mark Cavendish has teamed up with HydroSport, Monster Energy’s new sports drink and three MotoGP stars to launch ‘The Cav Sessions’.

Swapping their engines for a stationary bike, Cal Crutchlow, Fabio Quartararo and Maverick Viñales – who are more accustomed to battling for MotoGP podiums - will square off with Cavendish in a series of live at-home cycling sessions over the next three weeks, kicking off on Wednesday (May 13).

Fans will be able to follow along at home via Zwift as well as the athlete’s Instagram accounts through Instagram LIVE - @markcavendish, @calcrutchlow, @fabioquartararo, @maverick12official.

Cavendish said: “Like everyone else around the world, I’m having to modify my training and make sure I’m staying fit in isolation. I wanted to team up with HydroSport and a few of my mates from MotoGP to take cyclists at home through a little indoor cycling session.

"I'm looking forward to seeing how the guys fair up against each other on a bike without an engine. I know how competitive Cal, Fabio and Maverick are, that's even before putting me into the mix! But I'm sure there'll be a good bit of banter there."

“These are crazy times we’re all living through and I think it’s important now more than ever to stay connected, so I hope everyone can join us on the rides.” 

Crutchlow is first up on Wednesday (May 13), followed by Quartararo on May 20 and Viñales on May 27. All sessions will be LIVE at 6pm BST / 7pm CEST.

Cavendish is an ambassador for Monster Energy’s new sports drink, HydroSport.
