Episode 1: Slab Hunting in Australia, is all about the heavy barreling waves on the south coast. They will be focusing on the slabs, talking about how gnarly it is to ride a 10 foot wave breaking in 1 foot of water over treacherous rocks in isolated locations far from help. They score a big left hander that rarely breaks, delivering massive pits one kilometre out to sea.
Episode 2: Foreign Lands. Bromdog and Andrew head over to Nias, Indonesia for the swell of the year and learn the ways of island life. Bromdog has pretty much traveled halfway across the world for two days of waves. They're hunting a mysto slab on a flimsy dug out boat with fisherman who doesn't speak a word of English. After getting dry docked on the rocks, the motor cutting out and multiple cases of miscommunication, the boys came across 10-12ft of perfection with not a soul around.
Episode 3: The Waiting Game. To be shot in October and it's about to get cold and stormy. Risky Ripples explores the waiting game in Ireland. Big, North Atlantic low pressures smash the coast and the surfers can only hope and wait for windows in the storm to paddle out. This episode focusses on the rugged, wild waves of Ireland in the winter time and how the boys maintain their sanity in the long, grey stints in between.
