Another great sport event, festival Life! is behind us. This year's sixth continuation of the accompanying program at this festival was full of challenges, but the organisers from VSA Xtreme managed to shift the quality of their production and the quality of the BMX freestyle competition up to the whole new level and we witnessed one of their best sport events ever - Mercedes-Benz GRAND BMX 2018.
This year, the guys introduced a whole new set up, a triple u-ramp that was the dominant feature of the Mercedes-Benz zone in the G1 Pavilion. In the amateur category started 29 young riders. Even in this part of the competition we saw great riding and difficult tricks. Kryštof Hejna, Tom Gajdík and Tomáš Bartsch or Jerry Kozel dominated amateur category.
Saturday program, the Mercedes-Benz GRAND BMX 2018, was the final of the PRO category. The 10 progressive finalists from the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and the UK, led by legend of the world BMX scene Mark Webb, were a great attraction for Saturday afternoon and the visitors surely enjoyed that. VSA Extreme managed to get Mark Webb to the Czech Republic 13 years after his last visit. The euphoria and atmosphere of the PRO final and Webbie‘s rides were indescribable. The final included VSA Xtreme team riders Jakub Němec, David Janac, Michael Calta or Dan Mlejnek, Austrian rider Philipp Schuster, Dlugoš Kamil from Poland and two Hungarian riders Joshua Milan and Mark Vukman who finished third. Last but not least, riders from the UK - Oakley Way, and the legendary Mark Webb, who won the first place as well as the best trick.
Concerts of Monster Energy ambassadors DJ Lucky Boy and rapper Ego completed great atmosphere during all day.
