Mighty Sounds 2017

Jul 252017

Mighty Sounds festival vol.13 is behind us and it proved its legacy of being one of the best summer parties around. Everyone seemed to be having time of their lives, the weather was almost as positive as mood of the visitors and the carefully selected mix of bands of different genres worked well. Mighty Sounds, which was visited by over 12 000 people is Europe’s biggest festival in genres such as ska, punk, rock&roll, HC or reaggge and you could meet there people from almost everywhere.

This year, there were 110 musical interprets and other 40 different acts including stand-up comedy, poetry, theatre and other art forms and performances. Main headliners were bands such as Gogl Bordello, Agnostic Front, Cock Sparrer or Ignite.

Monster stage tent, hosted some of the best both local and foreign acts such as Bohemian Betyars or Banane Metalik or local stars including Flaming Cocks, Rocket Dogz, Prague Conspiracy or Drain.

The tent, where was Monster stage located, was fully packed during most of the shows and became shelter for fans of punk through ska to hard-core. Especially during Saturday’s and Sunday’s night rains it got the right atmosphere.

Monster Energy band Skywalker killed the second biggest stage on Saturday night and despite the rain, there was a massive crowd going crazy in the rhythm of their HC show.

Well appreciated new feature was the Black Coffee stage, which hosted three days program of unplugged shows. Many performing bands played both normal and unplugged gigs and fans sure loved it.

Apart from all of the interprets and stages there were also great daytime activities, lots of designers and DYI fashion shops and most importantly great food. You could taste some delicious dishes from all around the world right inside the areal.

There was basically everything you could expect from such festival. Rocking bands, lovely people, never ending parties and much more. We are looking forward to next year!
