After getting injured at the opening round last season, Jacob Hayes was happy just to get through last week’s season opener unhurt and came into Prince George ready to step it up. He would grab the holeshot in the first MX2 moto and ride to his first Canadian podium finish on the strength of 5-3 moto finishes, for third overall.
Mike Alessi would also grab a holeshot, nailing the start in the second MX1 moto. He would finish the day with 5-4 moto finishes, for fifth overall.
The series now heads to Calgary, Alberta for round three, at the Wild Rose MX facility, in the heart of the city. For more information on the Canadian National Motocross series, visit www.mxnationals.ca
