Monster Energy Team to fight in Speedway Best Pairs 2017

Feb 102017

Last year the Monster Energy Team finished Speedway Best Pairs series on the fourth position, despite much higher ambitions and expectations. With the unchanged line-up, the Monster riders will try to repay their rivals for last year’s rivalry and once again fight for the win in SBP.

- The plan for this year’s Speedway Best Pairs is to keep the same team and build off what we started in 2016 with Greg Hancock leading the team followed by Chris Holder and Pawel Przedpełski as our reserve rider - says Joe Parsons, the manager of Monster Energy Speedway Team.

- Competing in the Speedway Best Pairs you have some of the best riders in the world so to take the fourth place was a respectful start, even though it was not the result the team was looking for. Maybe this year we can make some magic happen but it’s motorsports and anything and everything can happen - Parsons adds.

- I think when you enter any race you come to win and you plan to win but we all know when it comes to racing anything can happen, that’s just racing and you need to expect these consequences in racing - says Parsons.

- After the 2016 Speedway Best Pairs was over and the dust settled, the whole team felt that this new format with brands supporting the teams and riders can be the future of pair racing - Parsons ends.
