MX OPEN in Myjava conquered by Neurauter, Krč, Struk and Venhoda

May 152019

May Day Motocross in Myjava has been a tradition for more than 50 years, so it is no wonder that spectators besiege every square meter around the track. Many fans and excellent location near the Czech border attracted a number of quality riders from both Republics. The organizers from OZ Slovakia motocross action took care of the perfectly prepared track with new elements and jumps. They were rewarded with ramps full of riders and crowds all around the area. Just as at the first event in Velké Uherce, the Austrian Lukas Neurauter (AT) of the Osička MX team has left no doubt that he is the fastest in both the MX OPEN and the super final. After the bad luck from the first event, Martin Krč (CZE) won the MX2 and Samuel Struka (SVK) from Mitterback Racing team and Martin Venhod (CZE) from Motokrosovaskola.cz were best among the junior category.

Holeshots

In the MX OPEN and MX2 races, they were tight holeshots between Lukas Neurauter and Martin Michek (CZE) and each of them took one. Jaroslav Dubóczi (SVK) from Ford Szilcar Racing Team won the junior category followed by Jiří Matejec (CZE) from HT group. Winner of the Superfinal Holeshot was Martin Michek.

MX OPEN and MX2

MX OPEN and MX2 showed beautiful battles from the first seconds. In the first holeshot run Neurauter dismissed Michek from the lead and let anyone in front of him. However, interesting dramas took place behind his back. Michek was constantly under attack of Tomas Simek (SVK) from PB racing, who eventually overtook him and Michek was also beaten by Filip Neugebauer (CZE) from Osicka MX team, who ended up third. In the second run, Neutrater held the lead from the gate's fall followed by Tomáš Šimko, who resisted the pressure of Filip Neugebauer and finished second.

Martin Krč (CZE), won both final runs in MX2 and was followed by second Šimon Jošt (SVK) from Osička MX team and third Jonáš Nedvěd (CZE). The 13 fastest riders in both categories advanced to the final SuperFinal.

Junior MX2 and MX125

Samuel Struk (SVK) from Mitterback Racing team won MX2 JUNIOR. His competitor Adam Dušek (CZE) from BR Racing won the first run, however the second run was more important and he had to settle for second place overal. Jiří Matějec (CZE) from HT group ended up third.

Czech riders dominated Junior 125 category – first Martin Venhoda from Motokrosovaskola.cz, second Tomáš Svirák from Motosport Chýnov v AČR and third Patrik Příhoda.

Superfinal

Superfinal included the fastest riders through all categories. The winner was Lukas Neurauter (MX OPEN), followed by Martin Michek (MX OPEN) and Petr Bartoš (MX OPEN). Fourth place went to Šimon Jošt (MX2) and fifth Jonáš Nedvěd (MX2). The fastest junior was Adam Dušek (MX2 Junior), who ended up seventh.

Veterans MX4 and MX4+

Martin Žerava (CZE) from KRTZ Motorsport won the 40-50 years old category MX4 and MX4 +, which includes riders over 50, was won by Roman Majer (CZE).
