Oktagon 12 started with the first of two women's fights of the evening, in which experienced Frenchwoman Clara Ricignoul defeated local fighter Nikoleta Domoráková in the first round on TKO.
Second fight of the prelims showed battle between Mateusz Legierski and local Ronald Paradeiser. The exciting and bloody fight was won by Legierski, who finished Paradiser in second round by hard TKO.
Third fight between Robert Bryczek and Mátém Kertesz was one of the two fights that went for full 3 rounds and was won by Bryczek by decision.
Slovak Ludovit Klein was facing a tough challenge during his return to Oktagon in form of Brazilian fighter William Lima, who won 7 times in a row. However Klein was not afraid and sent him to the ground by hard KO in the first round and again convinced the fans that he should become the first Slovak in UFC.
The last prelim fight introduced for the first time Makhmud Muradov, who recently signed his contract with Oktagon. The fighter loved by Czech audience delivered what he promised and after a tough knee KOd UFC veteran Uda Pereira in 1st round.
First fight of the main card was again between two ladies – Czech Veronika Rodová and Swedish Cornelia Holm. Despite the great performances of both fighters, only one could be the winner and the judges gave it to Cornelia.
Local talent Samuel Daňko and Oktagon Výzva reality show winner Karol Ryšavý performed another great fight. Daňko in the end lost, however he didn’t give Ryšavý the fight for free and showed some awesome defence.
Another Brazilian fighter Frankenstein Silva, who defeated Jay Jay Gottvald in first round, performed one of the toughest KO of the tournament. Both fighters performed really well and we saw some brutal punches. Brazilian UFC veteran called out Karlos Vemola immediately after the match and Karlos accepted the challenge, so we can look forward to another attractive fight, which will take place on the next Oktagon at Prague Štvanice.
The home audience's darling Gábor Boráros showed a spectacular return after his knee injury from a fight with David Kozma and stormed into a cage in Bratislava's Ondrej Nepela arena as a tornado and literally ran over his rival Jan Janka in the 1st round by TKO.
The penultimate fight was in a name of another big return. Pirát Krištofiči arrived after two losses in a row and knew that this match could be a turning point for him. He pushed this pressure and sent his opponent, Anderson Diniz, to the ground in an amazing 28 seconds.
The highlight of the evening was the duel of former Bellator champion and all beloved Attila Vegha with American Virgil Zwicker, The latter shocked the entire stadium when he turned off the Slovak hero in the first round. However, this does not change the fact that Attila will compete with the Czech champion Karlos Vemola and we are all looking forward to their mutual match in the O2 arena in Prague.
