
The jubilee 20th Oktagon tournament, which took place on the penultimate day of the year, promised a great show and, as always, delivered. The loaded fight card introduced many famous local and foreign names, the final fight of the Oktagon Vyzva reality show and middleweight title match.
The main fight of the night was a duel between Karlos Vémola and Alex Lohoré from France for a middleweight title. For the first time in his life, Vémola had to go through a five-round match, which he dominated and became the first holder of the title in the Oktagon. UFC veteran Viktor Pešta successfully managed his premiere in a light-heavyweight and defeated Brazilian Ildemar Alcântara. In the last tournament of this year, the final of the reality show Oktagon challenge between Roman Paulus and Tomáš Zajac took place. In the end, the young Slovak Paulus won the twenty-five-minute battle and was given the OKTAGON MMA belt.
The remaining bouts on the main card brought tough battles, two of which ended in a submission in the first round and the third was decided by the referees after the third round. Leo Brichta took another win and a bonus for the performance of the evening after a duel with Matouš Kohout, Milan Ďatelinka defeated David Hošek after less than 3 minutes and Jan Malach took the victory with Miroslav Brož.
