Monster Energy congratulates Kevin Peraza for his winning run on the BMX Park course at the inaugural X Games Minneapolis. The young rider made short work of the competition taking the victory in convincing fashion.
This year X Games spared no expense in creating what many athletes are calling the best Park course in the long history of the games. Set inside the climate controlled US Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis, the deep bowls, unique features and silky smooth transitions afforded riders free reign to bring everything they had to the competition.
Unfortunately for the rest of the field, 22-years-old Kevin Peraza was on fire today.
In a three run final, Peraza went to work right away bringing his tech street style to the big transitions of the park course. Scoring a 81.66 on his first go, the Tucson native sat in the middle of the pack before his second run.
“It’s always a little nerve-wracking going into your first run,” said Peraza. “Especially up against all of these heavy hitters.”
