
POW! WOW! Street art and music festival returns with another installment, this time taking place in Worcester MA at the beginning of fall. In an effort to make the city a more culturally dynamic place more than 30 well known street artists from around the globe will converge upon the Worcester from August 25 until September 3 to produce approximately 30 murals. In addition to the street art element, POW! WOW! Endeavours to activate spaces, engage in other arts and music and generate general pride in the city.
Extending from Pleasant Street through the Elm Park area and out to the city’s Canal District, the weeklong festival will bridge together various parts of the city while welcoming an estimated 10,000 visitors to the area.
Co-Director of POW! WOW! Worcester Jessica Walsh commented “Arts have historically brought people together and we are excited to continue that tradition here in Worcester with the 32 artists involved. Artists from Worcester, various states in the US and from 9 countries around the world will join the event to continue the efforts of a renewed focus on our schools and the communities around them.”
