Power Fest - Drag Wars SK vs. HU 2017 Bolkovce

Bolkovce, in the south of central Slovakia, in close proximity to Lučenec, hosted for the eleventh time the all petrol heads and sprint fans favourite Power Fest. All of the car and motorcycle sprint enthusiasts gathered on a hot Saturday morning to compete in this year’s third round of Slovak cars and motorcycles sprint championship, which was also included in the Hungarian championship as well as in the series of the Czech Motorcycle Federation. The traditional "Drag Wars SK vs. HU" event welcomed 153 sprinters from seven countries, including 31 motorcycles and 122 cars, and a total of 534 tracked duels on the 201-meter track.

The contestants competed in three basic classes - Street Cars, Profi Cars and Motorcycles, which were divided into categories based on volume and drive. The best absolute time of 5.434 seconds at a speed of 173 km / h in the cars category was won by the exhibition Hungarian racer Zsolt Szabó on the dragster with a performance of over 1500 horsepower. Polish Robert Matysiak fired the fastest time of the registered racers, on the modified Nissan GT-R with a performance of over 1,000 horse power. Winner of the Motorcycle class was Czech competitor Štefan Szabó "coco“ on d Kawasaki rag special. He made it in 5,839 seconds and reached a maximum speed of 197 km / h on a 201-meter track.

In addition to the extreme concentration of horsepower, visitors also enjoyed a rich accompanying program including unique Streetfighter show of the Hungarian stuntman Csaba Erdos or the show&shine zone with many beautiful polished pieces. Owners of various unique cars came to fight for the valuable trophies of the Car Fans Cup series and to present their quadruple jewels in a restricted zone during interviews. There were also audiometric measurements of audio systems and exhausts within the Audio Cup Slovakia.
