After having huge success in 2017, Dallas thrash legends POWER TRIP are kicking off 2018 with a bang. The band will be teaming up with the likes of Hatebreed, Madball, Terror, Trivium and Sheer Mag on a series of tours that will see them cover half the globe including Europe, U.K., U.S.A. and Canada.
The first installment of the world tour will take place in Europe as part of EMP’s epic “Persistence Tour” lineup. Alongside fellow Monster Energy mainstays Jamey Jasta’s Hatebreed, Madball and Terror, Power Trip will additionally be joined by Born From Pain, Broken Teeth and Insanity Alert. These acts round out a killer lineup of Hardcore juggernauts that will leave Europe’s venues in ruins. Directly following the Persistence Tour-dates, Power Trip will join Trivium as direct support, along with Code Orange and Venom Prison. This refreshed lineup will continue the European musical onslaught before hopping the pond to crush UK audiences as well.
Freshly announced is Power Trip’s first full North American headline tour that will take place this May/June backed by Sheer Mag. Having clocked up some serious miles in the past 12 months, Power Trip have been relentlessly touring the U.S. alongside metal greats such as Cannibal Corpse, Obituary and Exodus and a stop at California’s famed Monster Energy Aftershock Festival. Now it is time for the guys to get out on their own and show just how crushing they are with their newly honed set of skills and perfected stage show. The first stop of the North American tour is Florida’s Welcome To Rockville Festival and the run also includes stints at Fort Rock, Carolina Rebellion and Rock On The Range Festivals.
Power Trip’s breakthrough album, Nightmare Logic, earned an overwhelming amount of love across the board, ranging in praise from The New Yorker to a Pitchfork 'Best New Music' to numerous Top 10 Record of the Year lists. They were awarded the Best Metal Album of the Year from Loudwire and song placement in the WWE.
