Snow Hill native Marlanna Evans, better known to fans as Monster Energy’s Rapsody, has picked up two Grammy nominations for 2018. Fresh on the beginning of her “Wisdom Is Power” US tour, Rap’ has just learned she’s up for Best Rap Album for “Laila’s Wisdom,” her major-label debut released earlier this fall, and Best Rap Song for “Sassy.” After sharing Kendrick Lamar’s Album of the Year nomination last year for “To Pimp a Butterfly”, these will be Rapsody’s first solo nominations.
