After a highly successful year in 2017, Richard Tury is looking for another great year in his carreer. With the season starting just now, Richard finished 2nd at the FWS stop #1 in Hiroshima, Japan, happening on April 5-8, 2018.

In the field of 35 of some of the world's best AM and PRO skateboarders, Richard Tury found himself at 2nd place in the PRO category with an outstanding score of 86.66, only defeated by the local skateboard superstar Daisuke Ikeda (JPN), who took the win this last weekend in Hiroshima, followed by another great japanese rider Sora Negishi (JPN), finishing in 3rd.

"Fise World in Hiroshima was one of the biggest Fise stops I've ever seen. There were more than 10,000 spectators and the competition was huge. I returned to Japan after four months, and again I did not believe my eyes. The level of skateboarding there is crazy and it still rises up. The skatepark was technical enough to suit me and I focused on flip tricks. Eventually I got two clean runs and finished in second place, which I am very happy with! Next Friday, I will fly back to Asia, this time to the World Cup in Nanjing, China. After that, I will have a Fise World or World Cup competition almost every week so I can qualify for the Olympics so I have something to look forward to," said Richard.

At this point, where skateboarding is confirmed as the new sport for the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, the FWS tour is one of the major skateboard tours and its points could be important for for the upcoming olympic qualyfiing criteria. After securing 2nd place at the first stop of the FWS tour, Richard is now looking very strong into the entire 2018 season.
