We caught up with motocross legend Ricky Carmichael to chat all things Goodwood Festival of Speed.

I've never seen anything like this before! It's massive. You really can't describe it you just have to come see it and experience it for yourself!

How are you finding this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed?

Well this is my first time being here and it has been a great experience for sure. All of the fans have been awesome and the people who run the event have been over the top nice, which makes for a great event. I also had a great time riding at the GAS Arena with all the action sports guys. As for the specifics of the event I've never seen anything like this before! It's massive. You really can't describe it you just have to come see it and experience it for yourself!

What are you up to here?

I am here for Visit Florida promoting tourism for the state of Florida which is my home State, talking about all the fun things Florida has to offer. Also when I found out I was making the trip I called to see what Monster had going on here knowing that they would be doing something fun and we worked out some times to come hang out with Ken and Vaughn and the other Monster drivers and sign some autographs for the fans.

Tell us a bit about your bike?

My bike for this event was a Suzuki RMZ-450 that we had set up with my RCH Team livery.

Engine?

My engine is just the standard production 450 engine. The bike is so good stock that I do not need anything more, which is nice!

If you could pick any driver or rider in the world to do a drag race against who would it be?

Haha, that's a tough question and quite honestly I can't answer it because there would be to many, not just one.

Favourite bike you have ever driven?

My favorite bikes were my 1997 KX 125 that I raced in the MX series. 2001 KX 250 SX race bike 2004 CRF 450 race bike 2005 RM 250 race bike

If you could build a super car or bike from scratch what features would you include?

I would like to some time build my own cruiser.

What are your plans? Where and what is your next event?

My plans are keep active with RCH race team and also continue to represent my personal sponsors in the best way possible. I am working on some things right now that would bring us back to Europe for some events this winter so stay tuned!

If you could add a superpower to your motorbike what would it be?

Somehow make it fly!

If you could swap lives with someone for the day who would it be?

Ken Block, that guy is always having a good time in fun places!

Plans for next season?

My plans for next year are to keep doing the same things as this year and keep having fun!
