The MXGP World Championship hits Spain this weekend to celebrate the third round of the 2018 season at RedSand MX Park, Castellón. it´s the first time since 2016 that the World Cup has arrived in Spain. This year the MXGP class presents an impressive level of competitiveness And we talked with one of those who  keeps pushing without hesitation. the 2015 MXGP champion Romain Febvre.

The goals its to be the World Champion again, I'm learning from my mistakes and improving, im feeling so much better physically, last year i did ok, but i know we can do so much better now.

How do you train physically and mentally. How do you get ready for the season?

Well physically i prefer to train alone, i don’t have a personal trainer i used to have one in 2013 and 2014, and then just decide to do it by myself, I stay motivated, i don’t really need no one to push me cause i already woke up in the morning very motivate, i do physical training on the bike and off the bike. and with the mind, well at this level that we are now, everything its important, you can lose your mind easily, so for me its basically my personal advice is to stay focus, to learn from the mistake and keep going, i see my goal clearly every day and that’s the motivation that keeps me going, even when the situations we face are not the best.

How tough MXGP is now. Is it as hard and competitive as it looks?

Yes is as competitive as it looks or worst, this year is more difficult cause many riders from 215 came to MXGP, there´s a lot of good riders and the level it is very good, so if you make any mistake and miss your start it's more difficult to come back on track and win. This is basically our main subject right now.

What is your favorite circuit this season?

Well, i liked a lot Argentina, Patagonia, it was our first time there and i also did my best time of the year, so it was good.

How was the pre-season, what are the plans for 2018?

The goals its to be the World Champion again, I'm learning from my mistakes and improving, im feeling so much better physically, last year i did ok, but i know we can do so much better now.

Have you been before, training or visiting?

This is my first time here, i had never rode here before, but at the level we are now, we just need 20 minutes on the bike and we already know the track. just question of time and experience to get on track real quick
