Saito wins King of Desert Round 2

Feb 022017

Round two of the awesome King of Desert Pro Series wrapped last weekend in Abu Dhabi to a spectacle of floodlit tyre smoke rising high into the desert sky. Amping up throughout the two-day festival of shred, the battles were intense, and the billiard table smooth asphalt of the Yas Marina International circuit proved to be the perfect venue for high-speed tyre-slaying competition.

Unable to make the podium because he had to jump straight from his competition car into a cab to the airport, Daigo quickly told us: “The weekend here at round two of the King of Desert in Abu Dhabi was fantastic. The crowds are always so enthusiastic and the level of competition was high. I had a great battle with Ahmad Daham, and look forward to facing him again at round three. Thank you to my team for their support and the organizers for their hard work.”

Will Daigo stay on top at round three? Or will Daham fight back to snag the top spot of the podium? We can’t wait to find out. Round three of the King of Nations Drift Series hits the track in Oman on February 2nd and 3rd.
