Shawn Maffenbeier wins first ever Triple Crown Series title

Monster Energy Alpinestars Kawasaki rider, Shawn Maffenbeier, solidifies points lead to capture first ever Triple Crown in Canadian Arenacross, Motocross and Supercross, in Hamilton, Ontario.

In a tour that began back in February, the Triple Crown Series pits riders in 3 disciplines, Arenacross, Motocross and Supercross, combining points in all three to determine a winner.


Monster Energy Alpinestar Kawasaki's lites rider, Shawn Maffenbeier, after taking First place in the Arenacross segment, won the 250 main event and solidified his points lead in the Hamilton Supercross on Saturday night to capture the first ever Triple Crown overall.


Strong rides also came from other team members, AMA Supercross rider, Mike Alessi, who led for 4 laps in the 450 final until going down in a corner, fought back hard and climbed back up to 5th.  Fellow 450 class teammate, Tyler Medaglia, was also in the mix in the final until he was t-boned by a questionable pass attempt, which forced him into a 12th place finish.
