Roll on 2020. Valtteri Bottas has spoken about his delight at signing with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Team for another season.
The Finnish ace has been rewarded with a contract extension as he sits second in the Formula One Drivers' Championship standings and will continue to race for the Silver Arrows for a fourth season.
Valtteri has built up a solid partnership with Lewis Hamilton, and the two enjoy a healthy working relationship which has delivered three Formula One Constructors' Championship titles during his time with the team.
The 30-year-old, who has won twice this season in Melbourne and Baku, is already relishing the challenge ahead in 2020.
Valtteri said: "That's always good news when you get things confirmed for next year and it's definitely all that I wanted, because I believe the team will be strong for the rest of the year but also next year. I see no reasons why it wouldn't. That made me very happy to hear it and to get it all done finally. In this sport you know once you've not signed, anything can happen.
"Now I am very happy to know about the future and don't need to worry about that now. I can just really focus on the job.”
