After a one week hiatus, round five of the 2016 CMRC Canadian Motocross Nationals took place this past weekend in Courtland, Ontario, in the deep sands of the rough and tough, Gopher Dunes Raceway. Always a challenging event, it proved to be a solid day for the Monster Energy Alpinestars Kawasaki team.
Coming off second overall last race, in Regina, Mike Alessi started the day off well by qualifying with the third quickest time.
For the second straight race, he grabbed both holeshots on his way to 6-5 finishes for sixth overall on the day. He remains in second overall in the MX1 championship as the series reaches its halfway mark.
