The King has been crowned! Saturday the 4th February, the King of the Whip contest presented by LW Mag and Monster Energy went down at Biker’s Warehouse in Johannesburg.
Twenty of the country’s top motocross and freestyle motocross riders went head to head to battle it out for the King of the Whip title. The 20-metre + landing gave riders the opportunity to push their limits resulted in one of the most exciting and closely fought whip contests ever seen.
Split into four 15-minute jam sessions, the riders had the opportunity to showcase their skills for the judges and fans in an elimination format resulting in a ten man final.
The Monster girls were on hand firing off the t-shirt cannon.
7:00pm saw the ten finalists take to the course, the last chance to huck their best whips possible before being eliminated into the final four.

The top 4. Danny Lailvaux, Dallan Goldman, Jason Hannan and Alastair Sayer slayed their way into a slot in the grand finale.
After the heated final round of sideways action it was none other than Alastair Sayer that won the judges over to take the title.
