After a short creative hiatus, The Word Alive are back with details of their highly anticipated new album and a new track to boot! The band's new album, Violent Noise, was created in the original the rehearsal space in Arizona where it all began and it will soon be 10 years since vocalist Telle Smith joined The Word Alive. In a nostalgic behind the scenes video the band went live with yesterday on their Facebook page, the group uncovers Telle’s leap of faith moving from Ohio to California and then commuting between California and Arizona to work with the band. The empire that TWA have built for themselves is well deserved as the band continues to put their blood sweat and tears into new music and hectic tour schedules at the priority of their fans.
“If only you knew how much we put into this. Every song. Every note. Every lyric. Every single take was with you in mind.”
The debut single from “Violent Noise” came just hours after the band’s live teaser. “Red Clouds” takes its name from an exit off the 10 East freeway (Red Cloud Rd.) which was the indicator that Smith was almost reunited with the band with each Arizona trip.
"We wanted to tell the story that is bigger than just this song and bigger than this album. I've made this drive back and forth for so many years trying to pursue music and find my place in the world and what path is meant for me. I'm just a kid from Dayton, Ohio who drove all the way to California chasing this dream that I didn't know where it was going to take me, and half the time I still don't know. But I remember the first time I made the drive to Arizona, to be in a band and to try out. It felt right for me and meeting Tony [Pizzuti] and Zack [Hansen] and finding just this mutual love of music of all kinds." – Telle Smith.
“Violent Noise” will be released May 4 via Fearless Records. "If only you knew how much we put into this. Every song. Every note. Every lyric. Every single take was with you in mind," stated the and collectively upon the album’s announce.
The track listing for “Violent Noise” can be found below and the record even features a cameo appearance by Asking Alexandria's Danny Worsnop.
