The year has almost come to an end, so we thought it’s about time to look back on 2017. It’s been an intense battle in formula 1, MotoGP and MXGP, so we will shed a light on these sports during December. Followed up by a final #ThrowbackThursday, on which we will sum up our favourite video’s from our YouTube channel throughout 2017!
In this second edition, we look back on the 2017 MotoGP season; the 69th to be exact. A season which has been deemed to be the most spectacular season that the sport has ever seen, according to critics. In total, we saw six MotoGP riders wearing the Monster Energy claw on their helmets, to start with the notorious favourite Valentino ‘The Doctor’ Rossi, who was accompanied by his new teammate Maverick Vinales on the blue Yamaha Movistar machines. Another team that was sporting the Yamaha bikes was the Monster Yamaha Tech3 team, with Johann Zarco and Jonas Folger taking the driver’s seats. Then there was Cal Crutchlow driving the LCR Honda and on the factory Ducati Team we found Jorge Lorenzo.
