A new hard rock supergroup has just emerged, and it has been six years in the making. Monster Energy vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens has teamed up with guitarist Keri Kelli (Alice Cooper, Slash, L.A. Guns), bassist Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, Whitesnake) and longtime Scorpions drummer James Kottak to form “A New Revenge”.
Lead guitarist and band leader Keri Kelli recently told billboard.com that “A New Revenge” (formerly Project Rock) was conceived during a tour of Russia when he was playing with Alice Cooper on tour with The Scorpions and drummer James Kottak. "There was a lot of down time, and I'd known James for a long time from L.A. We started to say, 'Hey, it would be cool to do something outside the bands we're associated with.'" Promoters began to get wind of the supergroup and began showing support to the newly formed band. According to Kelli, most of the collaboration between the involved artists has taken place via remote home recording studios; "Little by little we started compiling songs. It's been long time, but we finally got to where we have an album and have it coming out." The band steadily put together an album titled “Enemies & Lovers” which is due out March 29.
