TOP WOW MOMENTS OF LOOSEFEST 2016

Riders have travelled from all over the world and nerves are high. 

Loosefest isn’t just about tricks, the event has taken huge influence from the Moto-x scene where the whip is king. The Loosefest course gives the riders more time in the air than anywhere else to get fully sideways with as much style as possible .

For 2016,  Nico Vink built a new ‘Small line’ in the woods, but still at a whopping 35ft and it was just as insane as the other one. This gave the riders the chance to throw down for the crowds. Sam Reynolds and Conor MacFarlane were sending huge Barel Rolls and Corked 360 trains.

in 2015 Nico Vink added the 90ft step down to the line and many thought it wasn’t possible, but he proved them wrong. In 2016 it is still mind blowing and doesn’t matter how many times you see a rider send it, the impossible becomes possible.

 

Missing the bars on a superman seat grab, Reynolds ate dirt hard, but walked away from it relatively unscathed. It goes to show that these guys aren’t just crazy, they are the best athletes in the world and even when it goes wrong they are still smiling and can’t wait to get back out there .

Loosefest doesn’t run like a standard competition, it is a jam format and the riders are hyped to ride with each other. This approach sees up to 8 riders dropping in at the same time, following each other through the course in an epic train- the fan’s favourite for sure.

You can only truly grasp the scale of these jumps by doing it for yourself. Step in to the world POV and Gopro and you can jump on board with the rider and experience it from the comfort of your home. The Loosefest POV runs are some of the most insane shots you will ever see.

Unlike some fest series stops, Loosefest is open to the public and a 5-day festival of riding. Fans come from all over Europe to witness the riding first hand. Lining the side of the course, screaming as they come through and equally rallying behind a fallen rider and cheering them back up again. Loosefest fans are awesome!
