This years Gymkhana Grid will be over run with Finnish tyre slayers, after last weekends Vauhtiajot Battle!
Last weekend saw the qualifying event for the Gymkhana Grid finals take place in Seinajoki’s Vauhtiajot Festival, where Riku Tahko handed out two Golden Tickets to the finals in Warsaw on September 7th.
A strong selection of Finland’s best drifters turned up at the Vauhtiajot Battle, which is only the second time an event like this has been held in Finland.
Drivers battled it out in two classes, AWD and RWD to secure Golden Ticket’s to compete later in the year along side fellow Finn Riku Tahko, as well as Ken Block and Luke Woodham to name a few, in Poland. The competition was tight and kept the crowds entertained, but Dennis Haggblom secured the RWD spot with his Honda S2000, while Petri Ylinen took the AWD category with his Subaru Impreza.
