World cup skateboarding competition Grand Prix Beroun 2016

On Saturday 25th of June the Beroun skatepark hosted seventh edition of Grand Prix Beroun, which was also a part of World Cup Skateboarding series for the second time. Skaters from all around the world competed in categories PRO, AM and of course the audience’s most popular discipline BEST TRICK. The winner of the competition eventually became Martin Pek, who in this global competition completed his hattrick. Over four thousand fans supported the participants. Despite really hot weather, the audience created incredible atmosphere and were pushing the riders to maximum performance. After the announcement of results started huge show of well-known Czech hip hop crew BIG BOSS leaded by Vladimir 518.


BEST TRICK again gave chance those who didn’t do well in the qualification runs and all the riders were trying to show the greatest performance. During those 30 mins were landed really technically difficult tricks. Czech rider Arnošt Ceral who landed Nollie kickflip crooked grind bigspin flip out won best trick.

 

After the competition audience moved in front of the stage where the program started with Refew, followed by BIG BOSS crew including James Cole and Vladimir 518 with DJs Doemixx and Mike Trafik.

 

Great atmosphere from the whole day continued until the night and everybody was leaving Beroun with a feel of well-spent Saturday.

"I think that the event went well, we had the top riders of world of skateboarding over here and I'm glad that we succeeded in creating an atmosphere that all participants loved and they will like to come back to watch or take part in the race again. Moreover, we have once again proved that the world must count with Czech riders. Martin rode really well, the audience was fantastic and everything turned out as we had hoped, even with the weather. So for me it is absolute satisfaction, "said event organizer Tomas Vintr.
