Transplanted from Hood River, Oregon, Dylan Thompson rode into the snowboard spotlight on the streets of Salt Lake City, Utah. With stylish, skate-inspired skills, he continues to make worthy contributions to SLC’s long-standing legacy as the hub of progressive street riding. In a city literally teeming with shred talent and dotted with legendary spots, Dylan Thompson has come up strong and proven himself to be a seriously smooth operator. He first came out of the woodwork in 2008 with a short segment in FODT’s Familia. In 2009, Dylan spent the year riding and filming with veteran stylemaster Marc Frank Montoya; ultimately producing his breakout part in Hard To Earn. With big rails, NDBs at some classic SLC spots, and a stack of creative roof lines and drops, Dylan positioned himself as one of snowboarding’s most progressive street technicians. He followed up in 2010’s The Arena with an ender part highlighted by unique bungee-powered lines and his increasingly smoothed-out style. Working with long-time filmer and FODT founder Cole Taylor, Dylan spent the 2012 season working on a Monster-backed solo video project that was released online. The video, entitled Fully Clipped showcases Dylan’s ongoing evolution and his knack for bringing proper style to the streets.
