MXGP är påväg in i en Amerikansk final och ett dramatiskt avslutande kapitel efter att Tony Carol nekade Hondas Tim Gajser att möta sitt öde vid Assen idag under Grand Prix i Nederländerna. Den som stod i rampljuset för första gången den här säsongen var Monster Energy Kawasakis Clement Desalle, som presterade bäst på den hala sanden och kammade hem segern med sin KX450F - den tjugonde vinsten under hans karriär i premiärklassen sedan 2009.

It was more a case of ‘sang froid’ instead of ‘sangria’ at the Grand Prix of Spain and the ninth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship that dragged MXGP up to the midway point of a busy eighteen-race calendar. Kemea Yamaha’s Benoit Paturel kept cool under pressure to secure his second career podium in the MX2 class while Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Clement Desalle made a return to the top three of an MXGP moto as the Belgian continues his recovery back to the front of the pack.
