When it comes to raw natural talent and speed, look no further than 27 year old rallycrosser Davy Jeanney. Although the young Frenchman, from Auzouer-en-Touraine in central France, started his motorsport career relatively late, at the age of 20, it hasn’t taken long to establish himself as one of the leading drivers in the paddock.
Before stepping up to FIA European level competition in a fire spitting dirt thrashing 600bhp Supercar category racer, Jeanney secured numerous wins on home turf in the French national championship.
For three years his speed and consistency hauled in a string of victories in Division 2 and 1A championships. In 2010 he dominated the Division 1 national championship, with five wins and seven podiums, to clinch the title before the final race of the season.
Stepping up to European level in 2011, at the wheel of his self-built and run Citroen C4, Jenney has improved year on year. As well as netting ten podiums in the last three seasons of top level rallycross, Jeanney finished second in the 2013 championship, and was the only driver to seriously challenge champion Timur Timerzyanov in the end of season rankings. With a cool head under pressure, and a consistent style when against the clock, look out for Davy at the head of the WorldRX pack.
